The new Brazilian government announced that they will not continue with privatizations in the port of Santos.

They informed us that while they will respect the concession contracts already signed, no new ones will be concluded. This decision follows Bolsonaro's decision to privatize the Brazilian port system in order to accelerate private investment in the sector. The government said port authorities will remain state-owned companies. What will be done is to offer concessions to areas within ports for private terminals.
