International Women's Day in the Maritime Sector

Dr. Florencia Sciarra was invited by the Prefectura Nacional Naval, in her capacity as President of the Uruguayan Association of Maritime Law, to speak at the celebrations for the International Day of Women in the Maritime Sector. In his speech, he highlighted the following: "On June 21 we have our National Maritime Law Conference where we have ten speakers and five of them are women. And of those five women, most of them are managers in the most important companies and organizations in the sector. In this year 2023 we have a Board of Directors where the President, Secretary and Treasurer are women, and in total the Board is made up of twelve people, six of whom are women. So I can proudly tell you that within our association we work together as equals, giving each one the place she deserves for her professional abilities and for what she can contribute".
