Rioplatense Conference on Maritime Law

On September 14 and 15, the Jornadas Rioplatenses de Derecho Marítimo organized by the Asociación Argentina de Derecho Marítimo in conjunction with the Asociación Uruguaya de Derecho Marítimo, was held in the city of Buenos Aires. The topics discussed during the two-day event were the following: Judicial sale of ships, autonomous ships, Rotterdam Rules, electronic B/L, damages caused by ships to floating or fixed installations and maritime jurisprudence. Florencia Sciarra (President of AUDM) participated as speaker in the panel on digitalization of bills of lading. Also, Alejandro Sciarra (AUDM executive) participated as a speaker in the panel on Rotterdam Rules.
