Florencia Sciarra was appointed as President of the Uruguayan Maritime Law Association for the year 2023

The Uruguayan Maritime Law Association was founded in 1971. Our family has a long history in the Association. In February 1985 Armando Sciarra Quadri was a founding member of the Association, together with Adriana Sciarra Caubarrere. He was also President of this institution on more than one occasion. Alejandro Sciarra Caubarrere, current partner of our firm, was President in 2003, 2010 and 2019. Both Florencia and Alejandro are members of the Board of Directors for the last two terms (2019-2021 and 2022-2024). Florencia was the Treasurer of the Association in the periods 2016-2018 and 2019-2021. We wish the whole AUDM Board a lot of success for 2023!
